Types of Off-Site Services

If you are a regular patient of the practice, are disabled or your condition prevents you from attending our practice, you may be eligible for a Home Visit at your doctor's discretion.

Home visit eligibility includes parameters that include the severity of your condition, your ability to travel and your location. For patients requiring ongoing home visits alternative arrangements will need to be made.

All home visits will be charged privately. However, the doctor may decide to bulk-bill if the patient fulfils all of the following criteria:

• Health care card;
• Is housebound;
• And the visit is deemed medically necessary

If you believe you require a home visit appointment and are a current patient of the practice, please call our reception team and they will discuss your situation with your treating doctor.

After hours home visits are attended to by Hello Home Doctor Service, who have a team of GPs who conduct in-home consultations.

Please let the visiting after-hours GP know who your regular doctor is, so they are sent a letter with a record of the consultation.

Emergencies

While you are encouraged to build a relationship with your doctor, we also recognise emergency care needs.

Please let the receptionist know if you believe your symptoms require urgent assessment, and you will be seen at the earliest opportunity. Our staff are trained in triage to notify the doctor immediately.

• Shortness of breath
• Severe pain
• Serious Bleeding
